Triumph Bonneville description

THIS IS A 1964 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE HARD TAILED, WELDED FRAME WITH A EARLY 70'S MOTOR.  THE MOTOR WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT FROM THE SLUDGE UP TO THE ROCKERS WITH EVERYTHING NEW. EVERYTHING WAS POLISHED AND CASES BLASTED. THIS MOTOR WAS RECENTLY BUILT BY ONE OF THE BEST OLD TIMMER TRIUMPH MASTERS AROUND LOS ANGELES "WALT RIDDLE".  THIS IS A SINGLE AMAL 930 CARB WITH A "MORGO" 750 TOP END.  THE MOTOR WAS DONE RIGHT, NO CORNERS CUT, WALT IS METICULOUS AND NO EXPENSES SPARED.  THERE IS A POLISHED "JOE HUNT" MAGNETO" WITH TWO COVERS CLEAR AND RED. THE FRONT END IS A 35MM NARROW GLIDE SHAVED AND LOWERED THE CORRECT WAY SENT TO "FORKS BY FRANK WHO CUT THE LOWER LEGS AND RETHREADED. WHEELS INCLUDE A 21" FRONT AND 16" IN THE REAR. DISK BRAKE UP FRONT SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY STOP THIS THING WHEN YOU NEED. THE FIRST AID KIT HOUSES THE ELECTRICAL WITH NO BATTERY NEEDED FOR THIS BIKE.  THE BIKE CAN RUN A SPRUNG SEAT IF YOU PREFER  WHICH IS WHAT HAS BEEN ON THE BIKE UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN I WANTED TO CHANGE IT UP A BIT.  THE BIKE RARELY GETS RIDDEN AS I HAVE MOVED ONTO OTHER PROJECTS AND BIKES.  THE BIKE WILL START ON THE SECOND KICK EVERY TIME AND RUNS LIKE A BEAST.  VERY FAST TRIUMPH, QUICK  ACCELERATION, RUNS STRONG AND CAN RIDE ON THE FREEWAY WITH NO PROBLEMS.  THE BIKE IS LOW, LONG AND HAULS ASS SO I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS BIKE FOR A HIPSTER THAT IS COMING OFF A FIXY. I HAVE SPENT WAY MORE ON THIS BIKE THAN I WILL GET FOR IT SO GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY. CURRENT REGISTRATION WITH PINK IN HAND.  THE ONE PICTURE OF THE RIDER IS MY FRIEND WHO IS 6 FOOT 200+ LBS AND STILL HAULING ASS. IMO THE BIKE NEEDS A NEW PAINT JOB AS IT IS NOT PERFECT BUT GETS THE JOB DONE.

BUYER PAYS FOR SHIPPING HOWEVER YOU WOULD LIKE IT SHIPPED.  I WILL HELP PACK IT, LOAD IT, WHATEVER WITHIN REASON TO GET IT ON THE ROAD

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Triumph Rocket 3: Hope you like black

Tue, 29 Sep 2009

COLOURED PAINT must be thin on the ground at Triumph: the company's latest incarnation of their gargantuan Rocket 3 will only available in black when it's released early next year. And there's more torque, too: 165ft-lbs to be precise - up 15 per cent on last year. Triumph also say the new bike will offer "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor." Bold statement.
