$4000 Refurbishing/Restoration done in 2003-2003 by Ron Jones @ Stark Triumph,Navarre, Ohio. Bike has been garaged & unstarted since 2005 but engine turned over w kick starter approx.every 3-6 weeks. Seller is not mechanically knowledgeable but known flaws are: oil leak, both carbs leak, torn left front fork rubber covering, discolored paint @ base of Tank's filler neck, small paint chip on underside of Tank. Rain Forces Triumph Castrol Rocket Team To Look To Bonneville 2015
Tue, 30 Sep 2014The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Instead of its usual Milwaukee home, the event is making the trek 60 miles north to America’s national park of speed as part of Road America’s American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) Vintage Motorcycle Classic, June 6-8. Triumph Street Triple Used to Test Rocket Components – Video
Fri, 04 May 2012California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.
