Hi ... up for bid a decent-running Triumph T-140. I purchased this bike over the summer with plans to restore it over the winter, but due to other projects, I lost interest. The previous owner rode this bike often. I only rode it in my neighborhood a few times. The bike starts easily and doesn't smoke. The bike looks a bit better in the photos than it does in person. The tires have good tread, but have cracked sidewalls. The rubber on the foot pegs, kick start, etc. are worn and cracked. This bike is worn, but not worn out. It's perfect for restoration or a local rider. This bike comes with some new parts not installed: a set of Amal premier carbs, new throttle cable, new handle bars, replacement side covers, and a top end gasket kit. Originally a California bike purchased from the son of the original owner, the bike was then kept in Arizona in a large private collection before coming to us.These are hard bikes to distinguish what is original and what is not, What I feel and know are not are the tires, possibly seat cover and I believe the grips, there is a set of gray Amal grips under the seat in packaging.This what I believe to be an English market TT120, this information is only hear say as I do not have the knowledge to state one way or the other, but The larger tank, parcel grid, tail lamp and front marker suggest a British version There is some age patina obviously, there is some slight surface showing of light rust residue in the tank as this bike has just sat for years.The bike was last ran when we purchased it some time ago, there is no known reason why it should not run again. Bike comes with a clear Missouri title in the name of the former owner. He has signed the title...I have just not transferred the title to my name. As you can see in the photos, the model number and the VIN number of the frame match. They are both T120V CG51210. On the title, the model number and VIN number is T120RV CG51210. 1972 is the first year 5 speed transmissions were available. Bonneville's with a 4 speed transmission were T120R bikes, and those bikes with a 5 speed had a "V" at the end of the model number. This bike has the 5 speed transmission as indicated by the "V" in the model number/VIN number, and it works perfectly. The bike starts, idles, and runs good. I've literally had 25 too 30 Triumphs over my life and they have all leaked oil. If I ever had one that didn't, this is it. So, I will just say this bike is the most oil tight one I have ever had. Everything on the bike works....the headlight (both high & low beams), the 3 colored indicator lights in the headlight housing, the turn signals, the brake light (when activated by either the hand or foot), the tail light, the horn, the high beam flash button on the handlebar control, the kill switch button, the tach, and the speedometer. Nicely restored 1972 Triumph Bonneville for sale. Very nice, correctly functioning rider with no mechanical issues. With a good detailing the bike could easily be displayed in a museum setting, however it is not a perfect bike. Please know that even thought it has been restored, the bike is 45 years old. Serious buyers please study the photos in detail and ask any questions for anything that is not clear. Bike was restored about 6 years ago. Do not have any additional photos or documentation of the restoration. Comes with clear OH title branded ACTUAL 29,500 miles and is exactly what you see in the photos, nothing more, nothing less. It is in everyone's best interest for the buyer to clearly know what they are getting, so here is my best description of what I can see or understand about this bike: Positive Points: Very attractive style and very nice cosmetic condition Good mechanical condition, typically starts first kick and does not have any mechanical issues. I picked this bike up recently and thought that I might restore it and have since changed my mind due to not enough time.1 used 1973 triumph bonneville 750 rigid chopper as pictured.The bike is not running and may have parts and fasteners missing.Many parts are not fastened and are loosely set in place . The engine turns freely, there is no gas in it and I have not attempted to finish assembling it or try to start it.The gas tank is dry with a little light rust and cob webs, should clean up easily.I cannot guarantee the year and model as I don't know these bikes so the buyer will have to confirm what it is.Tires hold air but are old.The bike is numbers matching on the engine and frame.This bike will be sold as is with no guarantees or warranties with Bill of sale only.The bike is located in Canada and shipping will be arranged and paid by buyer.That being said I will assist with shipping on my end if I can.Ask questions if you like and I will try to answer them as best I can.The previous owner had stated that the chopper conversion was likely done in the 80's and that he had ridden the bike 5 years ago and ran good. The engine is a complete top to bottom rebuild completed by Trident Motorcycle Repair in 2013. I purchased the bike from the shop owner. bike is mechanically sound, there are some very light scratches on the gas tank that can be buffed out, appears to be a little bit of corrosion on the aluminum on the top of the forks, the chorm is pealing on the back foot rests, broken reflector on right fork, few tine holes at front of seat, has new battery,very small amount of corrosion around the ring of the head light and speed odometer housing, the backs of the mirrors have scratches as shown in pictures, missing left side cover plate. The motorcycle received an inline 1050cc “triple”, installed on the latest generation of Speed Triple, an electronic “throttle”, a multi-level traction control, cruise control, ABS and a slipper clutch. There is no full specification yet, but it is known that the motorcycle will be produced in two color options: silver and black.

Fri, 07 Nov 2014America, Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Rocket III Roadster, Rocket III Touring, Scrambler, Speedmaster, Thruxton, Thunderbird, Thunderbird Storm, Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC will be recalled by the British company. According to the manufacturer, the engine control unit of some motorcycles may malfunction, due to which one of the fuel injectors will inject additional fuel into the engine cylinder. As a result, the engine will either not start or stall during operation due to excessive re-enrichment of the combustible mixture.

The both the Tiger 800XC and the less adventure-worthy Tiger 800 will see two new variants, with the Tiger 800 likely being rebranded as the Tiger 800XR. A newly-published executive order from the California Air Resources Board reveals the names for four new Tiger 800 variants known as the XCA (likely standing for XC Adventure), XCX, XRT (or XR Touring) and XRX.
