If you are looking at this bike, you are well aware of the rarity of this motorcycle as illustrated by this description from the Motorcycle Specifications website:

In the midst of all this, the factory workers produced 371 TSX 750s: 100 for the US, 200 for the UK and 71 for the rest of the world. Approximately one-third of that total number of bikes were finished in the black which makes this mint example a very exceptional machine indeed. Essentially a restyled Triumph Bonneville, the TSX was distinguished by its lowered chassis and 16-inch-diameter rear wheel, with the engine offset in the frame to accommodate this. Other changes unique to the model included a stepped seat, black-coated engine casings and engine with polished fins, restyled passenger grab rail, shortened front and rear painted mudguards (the latter having a black plastic mount for the vehicle number plate), mirror-polished alloy, short megaphone mufflers, Morris alloy wheels (then made by Performance Machine) and retro’ graphics. Paioli rear suspension units, with plastic top shrouds, were sited at a more acute angle further back on the swinging arm to lower the seat height. A Brembo rear brake was fitted in place of the usual Automotive Products (AP) Lockheed item, which remained at the front.
All in all, it was a well-supplied piece of kit for the day and one that now captures a unique and defiant period of Triumph history.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
