Triumph Other description

1948 Triumph 5T  2 owner bike me and original owner that brought it into US in April 1948. Original 1948 title state of NJ was dated April 14, 1948 cost $1.50 to transfer back then.  This bike only has 1207 miles on odometer and it works fine had 1204 when I got it rode 3 miles at National Triumph Rally in June.I have copy of original title but was purchased from estate and lawyer made me transfer to my name. This bike is the most original early Triumph we have ever seen every nut and bolt is as was when came from factory. Had to put new front tire on old one was dry rotted beyond use , grips are new old ones rotted off, plug wires new rubber on old ones were rotted and shorting out.  Has original Lodge spark plugs in it everything else is 100 % as it came from the Triumph factory in 1948. Inside of fuel tank was clean sat in garage with no fuel. Carb was clean, clutch freed up on 3rd kick . Runs and shifts like new has 60lbs of oil pressure on gauge when running. All original paint and chrome. Even the original Lucas battery is still in bike the lead wires were leaded into terminals no  bolts or eyelets. This is a chance for a collector to have probably the most original early 5T you will ever find. The only thing it needs is a new wire harness all the rubber insulation is dry rotted but I do not want to change it runs fine with out harness working  it runs on magneto. Any questions call 856-447-5090 dont miss this once in life time chance

Pikes Peak: Beware of Falling Hondas + Video

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

With 12.22 miles of road winding its way to the 14,115-ft. summit, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb can be a daunting and dangerous challenge. Just ask our own Troy Siahaan who competed in last year’s “Race to the Clouds“ and broke his foot after crashing and falling off a 15-foot drop.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.

Steve McQueen’s Von Dutch Customized Bikes to be Auctioned Tomorrow

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Here’s an opportunity to own motorcycles associated with Steve McQueen and Von Dutch - need we say more? Get your credit cards out because tomorrow, January 9, 2014, will see a 1923 Indian Big Chief with Princess Sidecar owned by McQueen and fully restored by Von Dutch put on the auction block at the Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction. Previously sold at the Steve McQueen Estate Sale in Las Vegas in 1984, the 74cu (1200cc) Indian is “capable of reaching speeds of 90mph.” If McQueen’s coolness factor isn’t enough, having the notoriety of Von Dutch’s restoration is the icing on the cake.
