Another New Victory Coming 1/20/12

Hot off the trails of the Hard Ball’s release just last month, Victory Motorcycles is showing no signs of slowing down in 2012, as it’s set to debut yet another new model January 20 at the New York International Motorcycle Show. Details about the new machine are scarce, but if we were to guess judging on the graphic above we’d say it could be loosely based off the Vegas due to its conventional fork and lack of fairings. Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.

Highlights From The Troy Bayliss Classic – Video

For the second year running, three-time World Superbike champion, Troy Bayliss’, self-titled slick track motorcycle race was full of action. However, unlike last year, Bayliss took home the crown in front of a capacity crowd of over 6000 people at the Taree Motorcycle Club. Bayliss didn’t win the title easily, as American, and 2009 AMA Grand National champion, Sammy Halbert, set the fastest time during Superpole and challenged the Australian for the first half of the 21-lap race.
