Yamaha FZ description

Absolutely MINT 1989 Yamaha FZR400. This may be the finest one in the US.

Premium motorcycle, premium price reflecting its condition and the extra swingarm. All original, no modifications. Never dropped, raced, crashed or otherwise damaged. It's been sitting in an enclosed storage unit or my garage since I purchased it two years ago.

Comes with buffed 1990 FZR400 swingarm for the perfect combination of a virtually new FZR400 with the later Deltabox swingarm.

One tiny rock chip in upper left headlight fairing. Front master cylinder sticks from lack of use. I've discounted the price by $200 to cover the minor repair. The carbs need cleaning.

The photos were taken July 15 2016.

Reason for selling? Health issues. I have 28 motorcycles and am paring down. Am selling some other very fine motorcycles from my large collection, all exceptionally low mileage, including a ZX14, Ducati Diana Mark III (museum quality,) Kawasaki GPz550, Honda GT650 (900 original miles,) Bimota YB10, Norton Combat Commando, Harley V-Rod Destroyer (never run,) Aprilia 125 (12 miles,) Ducati Panigale S Tricolore, 1975 Honda CB400F and 1982 Honda CB1100F.

The FZR is in Point Roberts, Washington. I can deliver the motorcycle to Blaine, Washington for pickup by you or motor freight.

Clear Washington title, not just bill of sale.

No lowball offers, and buyers with any negative feedback or zero feedback will not be accepted without prior approval.

The Yamaha FZ-09 Really Can Do It All – Video

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Around here, it’s no secret we’re fans of the Yamaha FZ-09 (MT-09 for those reading this outside the U.S.). It’s a great do-it-all motorcycle, and for $7990 it’s a great value, too. Apparently, Mark Toia is well aware of how useful the FZ-09 can be as well.

2012 Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter with ABS, Traction Control and Electronic Suspension

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

The Piaggio X10 slipped a little under the radar at the 2011 EICMA show behind other maxi-scooters such as Yamaha’s T-Max, BMW’s C650GT and C600 Sport and Piaggio’s own Aprilia SRV850. But take a look at some of the features Piaggio’s slapped onto the X10 and you’ll soon learn it’s not to be underestimated. The new flagship of Piaggio’s “Gran Turismo” scooter family, the X10 is equipped with anti-lock brakes anti-slip regulation (i.e.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
