I am a YDS3C fan, and thought that when I retired I would enjoy restoring many of these. Well, grandchildren and old age to funny things to garage shop ambition.
What I have here is a matching numbers, titled, complete bike ready for restoration. When I acquired this bike a decade ago what drew me to it was that it was complete, straight, has a great gas tank, ( inside is clean, outside is straight, one badge is super and it alone is worth $100 in ebay), beautiful speedometer/odometer, with keys, and motor does not appear to have been tampered with. Now the downside is that the original owner's solution to fix some things was a bit awkward. The end of the shifter shaft was damaged and he welded a bolt head on to the end and fastened his own idea of a shift lever. As the bike sat and aged the kick starter lost it's ability to kick the engine over. This motor will have to be disassembled anyway to do a proper restoration, and these internal engine parts are easily sourced. I am willing to hold the bike for 30 days in order to help the buyer arrange shipping. |

Josh Hayes to Test Tech 3 Yamaha M1
Tue, 04 Oct 2011Two-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes has been invited to test Colin Edwards’ Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1 at the MotoGP post-season test. Tech 3 principal Herve Poncharal told MCN Hayes will get to ride a few laps on the Yamaha M1 Nov. 7 at the end of season test at Spain’s Valencia circuit.
Pro Racing Heading To The West Coast After All
Tue, 04 Mar 2014A Pro-Am style, three-round professional motorcycle racing series is set to debut in 2014, run in conjunction with AFM, America’s oldest club racing organization. This according to a press release from Sonoma Raceway, which will also be hosting the first stop of the three-round series, May 3-4. Hosted and sanctioned by AFM, a full field of Pro Superbike and Pro Sportbike professional riders and teams are expected to compete in the event.
Jorge Lorenzo Breaks Collarbone in High-Speed Crash
Thu, 27 Jun 2013The 2013 MotoGP Championship has taken a dramatic turn after defending champion Jorge Lorenzo broke his collarbone in a high-speed crash during practice for this weekend’s TT Assen in the Netherlands. The Yamaha factory rider was the overall leader after a dry morning practice session. The afternoon was rainy however, creating slippery conditions.
