ALL OF THE TROPHIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. 1ST PLACE HUNTINGTON BEACH CONCOURS DE ELEGANCE, 1ST PLACE STEVE MCQUEEN BOYS REPUBLIC SHOW, 1ST PLACE SEAL BEACH VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE SHOW, 1ST PLACE EL CAMINO SWAP AND SHOW , ETC. ETC. ETC. THIS BIKE HAS 0 MILES. SERIOUSLY. IT HAS ONLY BEEN SAT ON HALF A DOZEN TIMES. NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED IN ITS RESTORATION. IF IT COULD BE POWDER COATED, PAINTED, CHROMED, PLATED, REPLACED, ....IT WAS. THE BIKE HAS MANY EXTRAS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PURCHASED AT THE DEALER WHEN IT WAS NEW. AMA Pro Racing Announces Tommy Aquino Spirit Award
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The sudden and tragic passing of Tommy Aquino has hit the entire motorcycling community hard. In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 — according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.
