Yamaha Other description

I’m listing this machine for a good friend who’s not very computer savvy..

A beautifully executed restoration of this this little 'giant killer' 125 (24BHP @ 12,500RPM).  This machine came to the current owner from a collector in Florida and has very little time on it since the restoration.  Frame # 400-999259, engine # AS3-990259.

Pretty, rare and competent machine.

I’ve posted a number of high resolution pictures on Flickr HERE and would suggest that you visit the site as there is a lot of good detail in the pics.

D'you cover your front brake with a finger?

Thu, 15 Sep 2011

Bumped into a riding instructor last weekend. Not literally, though, I'm pleased to add.  The road had been closed by a big accident and we'd all been forced into the same coffee/petrol stop together. He had one pupil with him on a 125 Yamaha custom thing.

Not the most sensible of commuters..

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

This is the white and gold 2012 Yamaha R1. It's also the bike I shall be commuting on for the next 8 months. The crouched riding position and murderous amounts of power may not be ideally suited for the London grind, but with plenty of track action planned I have to make some compromises. There are three fresh colours to choose from.

Used Review: Dainese Jerico R winter gloves

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

DAINESE JERICO-R Being stuck up a mountain with your bike buried to the pegs in snow is not the best place to be a week before Christmas, especially when its 1200kms from home. Only owning perforated summer gloves is also far from ideal. This is the situation I found myself in and seeing as everything in Italy costs a million Euros, I wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune on a set of discontinued Oxford heated grips from the local motocross shop.  A very pretty girl called Fanny at Chitrrai Yamaha, near Perugia, showed me the winter glove options.
