Yamaha Other description

1974 Yamaha MX 175. Bike comes with a  bill of sale. This bike will need to have a new piston and ring set or go over size on the pistons-I have bought a new gasket kit that will go with the someone road the bike on straight gas and cause the piston to lock up. bike has a new seat cover new front plate and the front tire look all most new and back tire looks great. Would be a great bike for the grand children or you self; would love to finish the bike but I have two many projects on the table. These are simple bikes and I think this on would be an easy project-do take trade ins looking for bikes from the 60 and 70's. Any questons please call Shawn Davis 423-956-3002 Thanks For looking

It’s now fall, but apparently Yamaha has more hiding in the Dark Side, in another new naked motorcycle. Yamaha has released another new teaser video called “Rise Up” for a new model to be unveiled Nov.

But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
