Yamaha Other description

Great running 1975 Yamaha DT400

Previous owner did a complete tear down. He powdercoated the frame, cleaned wheels and hubs, engine painted (rattle can high heat engine black) and exhaust, chrome parts polished, other little bits re-painted black, fenders re-painted silver, rear shocks cleaned and painted, headlight bucket and rabbit ears re-painted, swing arm also re-painted black

Since I've had it.

-Kreemed tank again cause previous owner didn't do it correctly

-replaced petcock with new

-new fuel line and in-line fuel filter

-new seat cover and painted seat pan.

-new Shinko trail/trial tires and tubes

-rebuilt carb

-got all lights working

-new chrome "enduro" bars

-new chain and sprockets

-new throttle and front brake cable

-new rear brake shoes, front are descent

Bike is pretty cherry, I wouldn't call it perfect but it's not far off. Starts up on 1 or 2 kicks. Gauges show original mileage. Oil tank cap is missing, replaced with rubber stopper. Paint on top end of engine has some chips, RT side engine cover has some splash marks from leaky petcock. Tank is not mint, but close, has some chips, marks and has touch up paint on bottom around petcock.

Bike is registered in VT now and will come with a Dealer Report of Sale and Registration/title

I can send a video of walk around of bike if interested.

If you'd like anymore info just let me know.

Happy Bidding

Anti clockwise Knockhill and riding in the North East with GP winners.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.

Look smooth in motorcycle jewellery

This fetching necklace features a realistic interpretation of Yamaha's automatic FJR1300. What would perfect this look for the FJR1300 owner, actually let me stop and provide the image for you; imagine as Mr. FJR pulls in to the pub carpark.
