Yamaha Other description

If you are reading this I'm sure you know what you are looking at. This RZ was purchased new by my father in 1984 and gifted to me in 2002. I added a few go-fast parts over the years including moto carrerra millennium gp pipes, K&N 2 into 1 filter, rebuilt mid-90's cbr 600 remote reservoir shock(never ridden so shock is like new). I was in the middle of a topend rebuild when I left for Texas and through a long series of circumstances, of which I won't bore you, I never got back to it. I am leaving Ohio in 3 weeks for a year in Orlando at MMI. I am unloading all my projects (71 R5 and 79 RM80 also still available). This auction will not include the gp pipes, they will be listed separately, however will include the stock pipes. There are a few extras including rear wheel, rear blinkers, and 2 brand new Bridgestone Battleax tires. Everything you see in the pictures comes with this auction. At this point I was going to rebuild the entire motor as it has been sitting for awhile. Yes, the crank is still free. If you have any questions or offers please call me at 419-890-5243, Brian. I must receive payment within 7 days of auction closing, $500 by Paypal within 24 hrs, the balance through transfer or cashiers check or money order. The buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. I will deliver up to 60 miles from 45840 to your shipper. The bike must be picked up or shipped by October 15 as I am leaving for Orlando on the 16th.Thanks for looking and good luck to bidders.

Max Biaggi loses the plot . . and very nearly his teeth !

Tue, 29 Mar 2011

I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.

Behind the scenes in Qatar

Sat, 19 Mar 2011

Just because you have the name Jorge Lorenzo on your screen and you've won a world championship doesn't mean you'll get an easy time at scrutineering. In Qatar the technical inspection staff made the factory Yamaha mechanics remove bodywork and unbolt some electrical components in order to get a better look at the guts of the 2011 M1. Everything was in order of course but what a great opportunity for the scrutineers to exercise their power and have a poke around the most high tech Yamaha on the planet.

The Making of Yamaha VMax Hyper Modified by Roland Sands, Marcus Walz and Ludovic Lazareth [Video]

Mon, 28 Nov 2011

Yamaha Motor Europe asked three of the world’s top builders to work their magic on the company’s flagship power cruiser, the VMax. America’s Roland Sands, Germany’s Marcus Walz and Ludovic Lazareth of France each set to work and create three different interpretations on the Yamaha VMax. These “Hyper Modified” custom Yamaha VMax models were unveiled at Yamaha’s stand at the EICMA show earlier this month, and we placed them at #4 on our Top 10 EICMA Show Bikes You May Have Missed list.
