Yamaha Other description

1985 Yamaha Vmax 1200, For sale is my 1985 Yamaha V MAX. The only reason I'm selling the bike is because I would like a 2008 GSXR 750 or up with low miles. Would trade with cash on your end or mine, has to be low(er) miles and well maintained. This bike is very quick and draws a lot of attention( with the super-trap exhaust) Has been well maintained and I am meticulous about the oil changes and maintenance on the bike. The bike is an 1985 Yamaha V Max with a documented 2005 Yamaha V Max engine with only 9,944 miles on it. The odometer had 12,739 miles on it when i swapped in the 2005 engine when it has 4,150 miles on it. Now the odometer has 18,533 miles on it leaving the new engine with 9,944 miles. Another Day at the Office for Yamaha MotoGP Stars – Video

Fri, 27 Jul 2012

Back in 2009, Yamaha released an entertaining video featuring MotoGP racers Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Colin Edwards and James Toseland working on various mundane jobs at Yamaha Motor USA headquarters. Three years later, Yamaha has released a follow-up featuring its current MotoGP lineup of Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso (with King Kenny Roberts lunchbox in tow). Tech3 Yamaha racer Crutchlow takes over his predecessor Edwards’ spot as a Yamaha security guard, but throws his own British spin on the job.

AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.

David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
