Yamaha Other description

Get ready for adventure on the open road!

This is a great touring bike at very affordable price. I've owned the bike for one year, and I'm ready to upgrade -- hoping to find a happy home for this vintage beauty.  The engine runs strong and quiet, and for its age this bike is in really nice shape. I've installed a handlebar mount for a phone and a USB cable so you can keep it charged while using your favorite mapping app.  The radio works fine, although not shown in the photos -- it's removable with the touch of a button as an anti-theft precaution.   Please note that replacement parts for these older Yamaha Ventures are readily available on eBay and other websites.

Some features:

  • Comfortable after-market seat, with adjustable tilt on the rear seat
  • New windshield installed Spring of 2016
  • Highway pegs
  • AM-FM radio cassette
  • Cruise control (very nice for long trips)
  • All-weather outdoor cover
  • Original owner's manual included

2014 Yamaha Zuma X Announced for Canada

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

Yamaha Motor Canada announced a new variant of the 50cc Zuma scooter. New for 2014, the Yamaha Zuma X is based on the popular Zuma 50F but with some minor styling changes. The nomenclature is a bit curious.

Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.
