This is a very nice custom Road Star that has had alot of custom work done to it. This bike was featured on Yamaha Factory calendars and posters for 2001, it was in the November 2001 issue of V-Twin magazine and also in the Performance Machine Import products catalogue for 2001. It has chrome PM billet wheels with matching pulley and rotors, it has PM calipers and Contour handlebar controls, chrome front end with shaved and filled legs, Patrick Racing forged high compression pistons and ported heads, Dyna 2000 performance ignition, Mikuni 42 HRS flat-slice carb with ported intake manifold , streched tank and side covers, custom extended fenders, Vance & Hines Longshot exhaust, White Brothers beachbars with internal wiring and much much more...

Police Catch Up with Motorcycle Doing 185 mph in YouTube Video
Fri, 20 Apr 2012Authorities in British Columbia, Canada, have impounded a 2006 Yamaha R1 believed to have starred in a YouTube video reaching speeds of 299 kph (185 mph) on a freeway. The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.
