Yamaha Other description

I want to trade my 2000 Yamaha VStar Classic for a sports bike. The bike has 17xxx miles, foot rests, terrific tires, backrest for passenger. I will have a mechanic with me, you're welcome do the same.Pros: Good looking bike.VERY little rust, you really have to look for it to find any.Tittle in hand!No mechanical issues. Very comfortable.NO dents.Saddle Bags.Fairly New Battery, I start it and let it run for about 10 minutes weekly in winter.Cons: I think there was a small scratch on top of the gas tank at 1 point. The paint looks fine, but if you touch it, you'll feel like its a different coating of paint.Like most bikes, next riding season It'll need a tune up.Why I want to trade? Simply personal preference. I just want a sports bike that runs well and has plenty of life left in it, with close to the millage my bike has(or less), great looking, very minimal or no body damage, not a fixer upper! I'm in absolutely no rush, so don't offer me your beat to hell track bike, I just basically want a fair trade, not looking to downgrade. No tittle no trade. Beware Thieves I live right next to the police station, so if you want to trade to steal back I'll make sure you have a very bad day. What I'm manly looking for:A descent car(NO Chrysler,Mercury,Oldsmovile, Dodge, VW's) Ninja 636R Honda CB600R CBRf4i Yamaha R6. But if you have another sports bike with similar value you can send me pics and we'll meet. If you want to buy I'll deliver up to 10 mis if over 40 Degrees out. Text me for more pics preferably 3-11pm@ 224XXXXXX. Hablo Espanol

2013 AMA Superbike Daytona Race Report

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

The story leading up to the opening round of the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season was whether anyone would be able to keep up with defending champion Josh Hayes. After all, the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider dominated the competition last season winning 16 of 20 races including a string of 10 in a row. The season-opening round at Daytona International Speedway appeared to start on script with Hayes qualifying in pole position.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.
