Yamaha Royal Star description

I’m selling my 1997 Yamaha Royal Star which I purchased new in 1998 and have enjoyed since. But now my health keeps from getting to ride her very often or far so I guess it’s time she had a new home. She’s been garage kept and well maintained. I’ve added many accessories, all of which are genuine Yamaha no cheap aftermarket crap. I’m also adding a Dyna 3000 high performance ignition module and a Barons Big air Kit that I purchased and didn’t get to install yet. These 2 items alone would cost you over $700.00 to buy the today. I am happy to speak with any serious potential buyer and answer and questions you have.

The horrendous reality of restoring a 'classic'

Tue, 31 Aug 2010

It was with much excitement – displaced or not – that my freshly rebuilt 1976 SR500 Yamaha fired into life at the second kick this weekend. I say second kick. It was actually the thirty second kick – thirty of those spent frothing up a heady sweat until I realised the main fuel pipe was kinked to buggery.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
