1985 Yamaha V Max (1985)
I bought this bike brand new from the dealership in March 1988 and have only put 17454 miles on it. It has always been garage kept and properly maintained. I still love the bike, but am selling it because I have back problems. I rebuilt the carburetors and brake and clutch cylinders and replaced the original brake and clutch lines with Hel brand lines about 4 years ago. I put an Optima battery in it about 3 years ago (and highly recommend them). The Metzler tires are about 2 years old. The seat is a Corbin Canyon Dual Sport seat, a high-quality American-made seat that is much more comfortable than the original (which I have saved and am including with the bike -- the original seat is in near-new condition). The Corbin seat is black with red welting. I have added a few custom touches on the bike. I am a professional machinist, and I designed and made the scoop grill inserts, the low-profile convex washers that hold the Corbin seat on, and the honeycomb-pattern grilles on the back of the radiator housing. The original grilles and original style retaining rings are included in the sale. Other extras included with the motorcycle are a Tracy Wild One Fairing, in near-new condition; a King Cobra motorcycle alarm which would have to be reinstalled by the new owner (though the light is still mounted just below the tachometer); battery tender; and a bit of leftover oil. There is some slight paint scratching and surface corrosion on the aluminum surface due to the age of the bike -- see photos. It has not been mistreated and has never been crashed. Yamaha V-MAX, Low Mileage, Extra Clean, Like New Condition, Stock (2002)
This motorcycle is in tip-top condition. You will not find a 2002 VMAX in better condition. It looks and runs like it just came off the showroom floor. It is completely stock. This motorcycle has always been garage kept, the paint, chrome and trim are excellent, it is mechanically perfect and stock, the seat covering is excellent and it starts and runs like a dream. It has a new battery and the tires are like new, maybe 95%. There are absolutely no issues with the carbon fiber. There is a scratch on the right side of the engine rotor cover which is minor and easily repaired. The wheels and chrome excellent. The two intake scoops have minor wear from knees pressing against them. I'm pointing out a few issues but they are totally minor. LEGEND The Yamaha VMAX never stopped living up to its reputation. Achieving muscle-bike status doesn't come easy and keeping it for over 20 years is even harder. The original 1198cc V-4 power cruiser has a unique style, stance and look that's all its own. 2009 V Max One owner Awesome bike (2009)
Up for auction is a 2009 V-Max. It has 11,891 miles. Front tire has 1,000 miles on it. Rear tire has about 2,500 miles on it. It has Power Commander 5, Mike's X Pipe, FXtuner's Speedo Eliminator and Exup Eliminator, Corbin passenger seat and backrest, fender eliminator with smoke LED tail light, UFO air suspension, new battery, factory Yamaha touring windshield, Rizoma LED turn signals, K&N air filter, have all factory parts to go with bike. Have had many parts powder coated black. Bike is very fast and not for beginners. Fluids changed religiously at 3,500 miles. All factory recalls completed. Aftermarket mirrors (more stylish). Only reason for selling, have decided to grow up and slow down a little and bought a Harley Road Glide. Was going to keep this bike and use it for playing, but cannot justify a bike to sit and go to waste and not be enjoyed (who am I kidding, my wife said I couldn't have both).
