For sale is a 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic cruiser.
I'll start with the low points. The bike has been dropped a few times and is scratched and dented as a result, the low price reflects this. She still runs and drives fine. Would make a great first bike for someone to learn on since its already well broken in and doesn't have enough engine to jump out from under ya. Bike has around 22,500 miles on it as I am still riding it some to keep her fit. Now the good. As you can see from the pictures the bike has a windshield, bags, and forward controls. In the past 2 years the bike has got new tires (still 2/3 treed) a windshield bag and a mustang seat for the driver and passenger. The battery was replaced 2 years ago and has been on a maintainer. The bike starts right up every time. The carburetors have also been rejeted. The bike gets in the upper 40s mpg on back roads (bout 38 on the interstate). It is pretty loud, the baffles in the exhaust have been drilled out resulting in a good sound cursing and idling but some backfiring when slowing down and are pretty loud at higher rpms. So it's a bit bruised, and loud but it's a comfortable smaller cruiser that's at home on the back roads and would make a great cheap starter bike for someone. Comes with 2 keys, tool kit, and the manual. Mon, 21 Jan 2013I reckon the only thing to do when the snow comes is to get on a bike and my weapon of choice is usually a Yamaha TTR 125. I’ve had TTRs in the garage now for around eight years after Raceways Yamaha in Fleetwood put some on offer for just £900 and apart from a few broken spokes and worn out gearbox sprockets they have been indestructible. One of the two has an electric start and incredibly starts as easily as the day I took delivery.

Being the spec tire manufacturer for the AMA Pro Roadracing series gives Dunlop plenty of top-level R&D test riders to develop the next line of tires. Yamaha Trademarks YZF-R3
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Yamaha has filed for a trademark with the European Union for the names “YZF-R3” and “R3“. The trademark applications were filed Jan. 6 and are still under review, but once approved, we should expect Yamaha to introduce a new YZF-R3 soon after.
