Yamaha V Star description

2005 Yamaha V Star Classic, Big on Value, Huge on looksIf you re looking for a cruiser that s lean and low-slung without breaking your pocket, the V-Star 650 Custom is your answer. It s the lightest and most agile of all the Stars. Few other middleweights deliver the same laid back riding experience with a price tag to leave you speechless. But then again, few other cruisers are made by Yamaha.

Lean and mean and low-slung is the name of the game here, with boulevard bad boy styling and a price tag that will make one wonder why they waited so long to take one home.
It comes with a pavement-skimming, 27.4-inch seat height and long, 64-inch wheelbase. And 40 cubic inches of genuine V-twin muscle, tuned just right to pump out serious torque from idle on up through a low-maintenance shaft drive.

One look will reveal the obvious Star Custom traits -

Brilliant chrome
Luminous paint
Bobtail rear fender
Hardtail-like rear suspension
Drag-Style handlebars
Beefy forks

Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.

Valentino Rossi might not have been at the British MotoGP, but he did leave this message by his Yamaha YZR-M1 in the Fiat Yamah pits. The message, 'Torno Subito' means I'll come back quickly. Let's hope he does.

2015 Yamaha FZ-07 Announced for Canada

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Yamaha announced it would import the MT-07 to Canada as the 2015 FZ-07. Until now, the twin-cylinder roadster had only been announced for Europe as the MT-07; there is no word the FZ-07 will be offered in the U.S., but the Canadian announcement is a good sign it may be coming soon. Revealed at EICMA, the FZ-07 slots in under the three-cylinder FZ-09 (known as the MT-09 outside of the North America) with a newly-developed liquid-cooled 689cc parallel-Twin engine.
