If you are in the market for an XT500, then this is the one. This motorcycle is in excellent shape with low milage. This is a historic motorcycle 37 years old that looks great and runs like new. I have had several XTs over the years, this one is the cleanest and in the best condition that i have had. It may be the cleanest XT I have ever seen.
Everything on this bike works. It has the original motor, fenders forks side panels seat, fuel tank in excellent condition, It is just beautiful. This bike has the factory electronic ignition 1980 is the first year for electric ignitions. Here are two youtube videos. Please view I have a clear Maryland Title for this motorcycle. Brammo Electric Motorcycles Eligible to Race Against Gas-Powered Bikes in AFM
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Electric Brammo motorcycles will share the grid with gas-powered motorcycles in American Federation of Motorcyclists competitions. The AFM, America’s oldest motorcycle road racing body, announced Brammo riders can compete head-to-head for championships against those riding internal combustion engine motorcycles. The Brammo Empulse R, Empulse TTX and Empulse RR will be eligible for competition.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
