Yamaha YZ description
2000 Yamaha YZ125, 2000 YAMAHA YZ125 - Just how much more dominant can one motorcycle get? Four straight 125 Supercross titles (1996-99). Four straight "125 of the Year" awards from Motocross Action. With success like this, you'd think Yamaha wouldn't change a thing. Think again. The 2000 YZ125 gets an all-new cylinder design, with a larger exhaust port and a reshaped YPVS power valve that work together for even greater low and mid-range muscle, while remapped ignition timing keeps this more potent powerplant firing with optimal precision. Yamaha has upped the ante in the transmission as well by using a more rigid clutch pressure plate, the same all-new adjustable clutch lever system found on the bigger bikes, and an involute spline drive axle set up for smoother, quicker up-shifting. While power is up, weight is down, courtesy of a new aluminum subframe and suspension internals. The 125 also gets the same chassis mods as its bigger siblings: independent high- and low-speed compression adjustability on the rear shock, new low-friction outer fork tubes, reshaped steering crown, even an all-new number plate.

This Is How You Ride A 125cc Two-Stroke + Video
Fri, 09 May 2014It’s too bad two-stroke motorcycles are quickly declining. The lightweight and hard-hitting machines are a blast to ride. They’re all but gone from the street scene (thanks emission laws), but thankfully you can still find some on the dirt side.
