Yamaha YZ description

Up for sale is a 2005 Yamaha YZ450F. Its been used very little as you can tell by the pictures. Never raced. Only trail ridden. We lost intrest in dirtbikes a couple of years ago so it has been sitting since then inside a dry storage. I would start it every few months but at this point the fuel is old so it will need to be drained and possibly the carburetor will need to be cleaned out, but without question. Both the motor and the transmission are in great shape. Good compression with low hours. Tires are in good shape. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. Buyer will have to arrange shipping. We will help load the bike.

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

An Island tour with a legend

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.
