Yamaha YZ tech info
Yamaha YZ description
2008 Yamaha YZ450F. Very nice bike. Two brothers exhaust really wakes up this generation of the Yamaha 450's. Bike starts great, runs great, and rides great. Bike had never been a race bike. Previous owner used the bike as a woods and trail bike and I have used it to ride around recreationally with my kids. Only reason I'm selling it is because I have acquired a 2013 CRF250R, which I'm also selling, to purchase an SUV for our family. Both bikes are for sale, but I am keeping one of them. Basically, whichever one doesn't sell first. Bike is also for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the bike sells before auction end. If interested, contact me and I will hold it until the end of the auction for you! I could possibly arrange shipping if the buyer pays the appropriate fees. I work near a specialized motorcycle carrier.
Thanks! |

Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.
Dirt First By MotoVentures
Wed, 05 Feb 2014MotoVentures, the long-running (since 1998) dirt bike riding instruction company is changing its name from simply MotoVentures to the more descriptive Dirt First by MotoVentures. The new moniker more appropriately describes the company’s training activities and philosophy about the best way to learn how to ride a motorcycle begins in the dirt. “Our Dirt First training curriculum is very practical with no ceiling or limitations,” says MotoVentures President, Gary LaPlante. ”Our highly qualified, well-trained instructors are capable of teaching everyone from kids to adults and beginners to experts.
You. Call. That. Lean
Fri, 14 May 2010Jean Philippe Ruggia, 1988, Coppice at Donington Park, Sonauto-Yamaha 250. This is elbow lean action. There was a previous blog entry of Ben Spies and his elbow grazing the tarmac onboard the M1 Yamaha, I admit it is impressive but I find myself admiring the horizontal angles that Ruggia submitted his 250 Yamaha to, with the above image taken at Coppice as a prime example.
