2012 YAMAHA YZ250F , NEW FOR 2012 WITH MORE POWER & BETTER HANDLING The new 2012 YZ250F features a new Bilateral Beam frame, beefy new front suspension components, revised rear shock internals, and more rigidity in the swing arm axle block area. Engine refinements include a larger 39 mm carburetor, optimized CDI, and lighter piston with a lighter piston pin for more power as well as exceptional throttle response in the mid-to-high speed range.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market
Mon, 09 Jan 2012In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Yamaha Building New Factory in India
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha has received approval from the government of India to build a new factory in Chennai in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. Joining an existing factory near New Delhi, the new Chennai plant is expected to increase Yamaha‘s production capabilities in India to 2.8 million units a year by 2018. The new factory will be built on a 109-acre lot in Vallam Vadagal on the outskirts of Chennai.
