Yamaha YZF-R description
Top bid wins! No reserve! 2006 Yamaha R1 Limited Edition, brand new, 0.0 miles (yes, zero miles!). They only made 500 of these in this configuration. This is number 323 of 500 total. Collectors dream/extremely rare! I'm betting there are less than 10 worldwide with 0.0 miles! It is badged and numbered on the bike. The LE came with some upgrades as: gold marchesini wheels, longer swingarm, slipper clutch, ecu race tune, ohlins racing suspension all around and brembo brake components. This bike has been babied and garage kept. This bike was originally $18,000 new, plus freight, dealer fees etc. Here is a YouTube video of the bike starting! (Copy and paste address in browser if the link doesn't work.) https://youtu.be/b0TknF0FbIM" Since it is new and has zero miles, obviously no test rides, but once it is yours, you are free to do with it as you please. This will only go up in value as you keep it new though. I like to ride my toys, so I am selling it. I've got a 2000 R1 that is my daily rider. Original owners manuals are also included in the sale. Race Spools and Stand are for my other bike and are not included, you can purchase those separately from me for $100 if you want them with the bike. Buyer is responsible for all shipping responsibilities. $500 non refundable PayPal deposit due at the end of the auction. Full payment due within 10 days of auction end. We can work out payment after the auction, but prefer cash in hand or you can deposit directly into my Wells Fargo account, bank backed money orders or cashiers checks. Trades may be considered and I reserve the right to end the auction early, since the bike is for sale locally. 3 minor blemishes are pointed out in pictures. 2006 YZF-R1 LE I live in Salt Lake City, UT My name is Casey, contact me directly at 208-351-9654 |

Mon, 26 Dec 2011When it comes to improving the performance of a motorcycle’s weakest link, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill have taken on an enormous task. You see, this link is always changing and never constant, but can be molded and improved. It’s not a motorcycle at all.
BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
Stats ahead of Estoril MotoGP round
Wed, 27 Apr 2011The MotoGP circus moves into it's tenth appearance at the Estoril circuit, with the Portugease circuit playing host to a Grand Prix event in each of the previous nine years since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP formula at in 2002. Below is a reminder of the highlights of the previous nine MotoGP races held at Estoril: 2002 – Having won the last 500cc GP race at Estoril in 2001, Valentino Rossi (Honda) won the first of the MotoGP races held at the circuit. This was a race that was run in very wet conditions and Sete Gibernau had led for most of the race only to crash out with four laps to go.
