This beautiful Yamaha R-1 is a 1 owner bike. It has a Power Commander Ignition and a Graves Shorty pipe that has a throaty roar. This bike was set up professionally/dyno'd and boasts 154hp and 77fpt. With the bike comes 2 keys, owners manual, and dyno/mapping paperwork. This bike is not for the faint at heart! The bike has the LED hideaway front signals and the rear signals are LED's built into the brake light. In addition to the matching matte grey rear tail cover you will also get the factory seat. The bike was just serviced and has a brand new Michelin Pilot Power up front. The R-1 has the Moto-GP traction control system and the D-Mode electronic throttle response control. The powerplant is a fuel injected and liquid cooled in-line 4 cyl with a 6-speed tranny and chain drive. The front brakes offer dual disks and 6 piston calipers while the rear brakes are single disk with single caliper. Weight is 454 lbs wet. This bike contains both the "beauty and the beast." US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

The Yamaha Jubilo rugby club competes in the Top League, the highest level Japanese Rugby Football Union pro league. The team currently sits fifth out of 14 teams with a 3-2-2 record with a roster of 17 professional players including nine non-Japanese imports.
Yamaha Champions Riding School August Update
Tue, 05 Aug 2014Our friends at the Yamaha Champions Riding School have been busy lately. Since moving to New Jersey Motorsports park in April, traffic has steadily risen, with June being sold out and July not far behind. August is very promising with some new ideas (one-day clinics to bring a more economical program to a larger group of riders) being inserted into the mix as well as a normal two-day school at the end of the month, which is already 80% full thanks to the yearly visit from the engineering department of Harley Davidson. Following August YCRS will have two schools the week directly after the AMA Pro races at NJMP.
