Yamaha YZF description

Up for sale is my 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6 in great condition with only 7100 miles. I'm only selling it as I am relocating and won't have a garage for it anymore.

It is fuel injected, mostly stock with the exception of the pipe and fender eliminator kit. It runs, drives, rides and shifts perfectly, have had no issues. Back tire in great shape 90+% life left, front tire good with about 60+%life left. Strong battery as well.

This bike has never been down, has no road rash or anything of the sort and shows a perfect accident-free history report. Clean title. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see it. $3900 obo

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
