Yamaha YZF description

For sale is a gorgeous 2006 Yamaha R6 Championship Edition Sportbike. The motorcycle is 600cc. Currently the bike has approximately 15,200 miles on her. The bike has a clean title. There are minor cosmetic scratches on the right side from being laid down at a slow speed; none that are major or cause any performance damge. The bike has been maintained by me with oil and filter changes every 3-4k miles along with basic maintenance. I just changed the oil at 15k miles and filter with Mobile Oil. I just put on brand new Bridgestone BattleAxe Tires (BT16's) for $450 on the front and rear tires; these are multiple compound and extremely sticky. The bike has multiple after-market upgrades including:

-Hotbodies smoke windscreen
-K&N Air Filter for enhanced performance
-Motorcycle USA Steel Frame Sliders
-Hotbodies sleek front turn signals
-Aftermarket rear tail-light assembly

The reason I am selling this bike is because I bought a 1000cc motorcycle. I have had this bike for 2 years now and its a phenomenal bike that has always been reliable and is even suited for a starter bike. I am the third owner. Currently the bike is lowered. The bike pulls from 10k RPM's to 17k RPM's with plenty of power to make your knuckles white.

A few additional words: REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED! I am also looking to sell fast to restore my bank account. This is a 50th Championship Edition and rare; I constantly get compliments and heads to turn. Pickup is preferred in the local Pensacola, FL area. If you would like to ship, we can accommodate that but it will be an additional charge. Upon purchase, I require a $1000 down payment and full payment within 2 days via Paypal. Buyer can then come and pay the balance with cash (verified at bank), personal check (once cleared), or cashiers check. If you are in the local area please don't hesitate to e-mail me to view the bike. If your in the local area and want to buy the bike outside of e-bay let me know and that can be arranged. I reserve the right to end the selling at anytime because I do have the bike listed on other websites. Serious inquiries only please. Below is a link for MORE PICTURES.

The Diavel rocks!

Thu, 21 Jul 2011

The Diavel is my new bike of the year. Not being a huge Ducati fan, when I was thrown the keys of this monster at Silverstone on Tuesday I was expecting an ill handling, weighty beast that would run out of revs and scare me to death. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong as I had an absolute blast.

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.
