Enterprise Offering Harley-Davidsons For Rent In Las Vegas

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Enterprise Rent-A-Car today announced a new pilot program, offering select Harley-Davidson motorcycles for rent in Las Vegas. The bikes will be available at a specific location at 4517 W. Flamingo Road, right near the Las Vegas strip.

Rentals will cost anywhere from $120 – $160 a day, with discounts given to weekly rentals. Riders must already have a motorcycle endorsement on their license, but helmets for both pilot and passengers are included. For reference, the cost is comparable to renting a SUV.

Dave Nestor, Enterprise’s senior vice president, West Coast Operations says the move was largely driven by customer demand: “With the number of tourists that hit that marketplace every year and the weather (being) so nice, a lot of people like to see the countryside on motorcycle.” With attractions like the Strip, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead in relatively close proximity, they make perfect destinations for a motorcycle trip.

Being a pilot program, clearly Enterprise is watching the returns on this experiment closely. If this proves successful, there’s good chance of it spreading to other parts of the country.

The Enterprise fleet will include five models: Street Glide, Road Glide Custom, Electra Glide Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Limited and Road Glide Ultra. By the end of the year, the company will add Heritage Softail Classic and Fat Boy Lo models to the fleet.
