V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone.

The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.

The D-Air Racing suit has been developed with the assistance of Valentino Rossi and features the first integrated airbag system to operate without a physical connection to the motorcycle.

The suit is brimming with modern technology such as a GPS tracker, data analysis, lap checker and a trajectory display. Utilising Google Earth, the data logger tracks and follows a riders movements whilst on track. Data can be downloaded on to a computer to analyse information from the session enabling the wearer to study their racing lines and times for each lap. It may seem like an expensive suit but it's also a very cheap datalogger.

D-Air Racing retails for £2,409, including the suit and all the internal technical gizmos. A deposit of £900 is required to secure the order and will be taken by the local dealer who processes the sale. Deposits are to be paid by Friday 22 July - with the balance to be paid upon collecting the suit. If a deposit has not be collected by this time then the next customer on the reserve list will be contacted.

For more information and to register, potential customers should email: media@dainese-press.co.uk, providing their name, telephone number and postcode. Applicants will be notified by email and then contacted by their local Dainese D-Air Racing authorised dealer. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
