This is a beautiful example of a low mileage, matching numbers, restored and fully serviced 1974 Moto Guzzi El Dorado that is ready to ride and enjoy.
The following work was recently completed: The motorcycle was disassembled and the frame epoxy coated in black. The gas tank and fenders were finished in a fine metallic black base coat-clear coat system with the pin-striping and decals under the clear coat. The engine was opened & inspected & re-sealed (the compression is as per factory specifications), transmission shimming checked & new seals installed, new clutch springs, new drive shaft carrier bearing installed, final drive seals & gasket replaced, generator cleaned & inspected & lubricated, voltage regulator replaced & charging voltage checked, wiring updated per original wiring diagram, starter cleaned & inspected & lubricated, starter solenoid replaced, distributor rebuilt and new advance springs installed, carburetors cleaned and adjusted (K and N filters on carburetors), tune-up (new plugs, points, wires), steering head bearings cleaned & lubricated, new fork seals, rims disassembled & polished & re-assembled with polished stainless steel spokes, wheel bearings shimmed & new seals installed, new Dunlop tires & tubes, new Viton petcock seals, fuel tank lined with POR-15, new battery, and all fluids replaced.

In addition to the original “matching numbers” (58974) engine, the motorcycle has the original Lafranconi “Frankfurter” exhaust system and headpipes. Every switch, lever, control works perfectly. I have the keys to both boxes on the sides of the motorcycle, and they are as clean on the inside as the rest of the motorcycle. The sale of the motorcycle includes a reprint of the Riders Handbook.

The chrome engine guards have light scuffs and surface rust, and I do not have a key to the fork lock. The build date on the motorcycle is 1973 but it is (and has been ) titled as a 1974 model.

The motorcycle is ready to ride and enjoy. It is available for inspection by calling 516-524-4102. I am happy to assist with shipping. NOTE: A New York State title has recently been applied for. I will guarantee a clean, unbranded title with no liens. This can take up to three weeks but I intend to have it expedited. The motorcycle is currently registered and insured in my name. The successful bidder/buyer will have to wait for the title to be issued before I can turn it over.
