Up for sale is my pride and joy, my rare matching numbers early 1974 BMW R90S in excellent condition. The VIN # is 4071101. It took me two years to restore this motorcycle to my own personal satisfaction.  As to appearance, you can tell from the photographs. The color scheme is Silver Smoke, the only color option for the R90S in 1974. The motorcycle has 46,694 miles on it since new, and 322 miles since the complete and thorough restoration. It starts right away and runs like a dream.

The restoration was painstakingly done. I stripped the motorcycle down to the last nut and bolt. I rebuilt the engine with all brand new parts. Every bushing and bearing was replaced, and stainless steel bolts and nuts were used where practical.

The carbs were replaced with brand new Dellortos. The wheels (SS Spokes) and tires are brand new.  Incandescent lamps were replaced with bright LEDs. There’s actually far too much to list here. Suffice it to say, the motorcycle is in fantastic condition for being almost 40 years old.  It comes with cover, spare oil filters, dual output Deltran battery tender, shop manuals, books, documentation, and a complete set of tools.

If you intend to bid, I encourage you to call me at (305) 775-9368 so I can answer any questions you might have. My name is Jim. If you need additional photos of any specific part of the motorcycle or the restoration process, just let me know and I’ll email them to you.
