This is a 1991 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail classic and 1 of only 150 produced in this color. The engine was a 1340cc bored out and has 10:1 compression now. Engine was rebuilt in 2006 and has less then 100 miles on it. The carburetor was just rebuilt last week. There are various stickers on the bike that you can see in the pictures. The rear fender also has a pinstriped memorial on it,also in the pictures.It is not easily seen because it is behind the license plate and under the storage bag on back of seat.The gas tanks were upgraded to 5 gallons(2 -2 1/2 gallon). The bike comes with a windshield and a extra seat and various extra parts. The rims are aluminum with a Metzler 140/90 on the rear and a 130/90 on the front. The engine exhaust is 1.5" straight pipes.If you have any questions please ask before bidding. The bike is located in Wingdale N.Y. Bob Probert’s Last Ride [video]
Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada
Mon, 30 Apr 2012A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
