Aprilia RSV 1000 R description

2007 Aprilia RSV 1000 R, 2007 Aprilia RSV R - This RSV has had a gentle tip on the left side mirror and lever. Bike has LOW miles and needs nothing. Aprilia is celebrating its impressive sporting record by giving the RSV new graphics – taken directly from the bike that finished third in the Superstock class at the legendary “Bold’Or”, the most famous 24 hour motorcycle endurance race in the world. In a season when Aprilia is celebrating 200 wins in GP World Championship racing, what better choice of graphics could there be for Aprilia’s top-of-the-range sports model than graphics inspired by the Aprilia AF1 bikes that brought the company its first GP victories in the early 1980s. Endurance racing has provided more than just an unforgettable experience. It has served as a valuable test bench for the latest technical solutions now appearing on Aprilia production bikes. The Aprilia RSV 1000 R is determined to maintain its supremacy as the best sports twin money can buy, for its advanced technology and for its amazing performance. But what counts the most is the fact that the Aprilia RSV 1000 R is still the bike to beat when it comes to ease of riding. Because riders feel so instantly confident on an Aprilia RSV 1000 R, they really can ride at the limits of their abilities and stay totally relaxed too. The benefits are obvious in terms of less physical and mental stress, faster and safer motorcycling and the ability to remain fully concentrated for far longer, factors that contribute to success on the racetrack and safety on the road.

Anthony West Can’t Afford to Pay to Race MotoGP, Mulls Retirement

Fri, 27 Jan 2012

The 2012 MotoGP season is still months away and the world championship has already lost an entry, as veteran Anthony West announced his withdrawal from the series because he cannot afford to compete. The 30-year-old Australian racer was included on the provisional 2012 MotoGP entry list to compete for the Speed Master team on an Aprilia CRT machine. But with the official pre-season test at Sepang, Malaysia, coming up next week, West says he will not race because teams are asking riders to pay too much to race for them.

WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.

2011 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE vs. 2010 Nissan GT-R [Video]

Wed, 22 Jun 2011

Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Aprilia, has posted a YouTube video showing a battle between the company’s flagship sportbike, the RSV4 Factory APRC SE, and a Nissan sportscar, the GT-R. We’ve seen a number of these bike vs. car videos before, but they always strike me as a little suspect, as you never know if the pilot of either vehicle is really trying their best, or not, to win the race.
