Up for sale is my extremely low mileage K1100RS. Nearly perfect condition, just a few scratches on the lower part of the fairing. Bike has never been dropped, wrecked, or damaged in any way. Color is a dark graphite gray, that has a deep metal flake that looks great in the sunlight. Original paint.
Best part is this bike is 100% mechanically. Truly needs nothing. All maintenance is up to date. Just last week I replaced all the rubber brake lines with Gaffer braided lines (not pictured). This was the only thing the bike needed. Brake fluid flush and bled with DOT4 fluid Comes with factory bags with aftermarket canvas liners. Tires (Dunlops) are good, although the rear is a little square shouldered from interstate miles. There is a Givi topbox rack on the back, and I do have a Givi topbox that fits it, but I'm planning on keeping it for my next bike. If you win and want the topbox we can discuss. Has the Fuel Plus mpg tracking accessory that was installed by BMW dealers back when these were new. Not much else to say, it's a 100% ready to go sport touring bike. I'll go out on a limb here, and say this may be the nicest K1100RS for sale anywhere right now. BMW Helps Vertically Challenged
Tue, 02 Dec 2008No matter where they go or what they do, it seems that people who are vertically challenged always get the ‘short’ end of the stick, pardon the pun. Historically, if a pint-sized person wanted to get into the hobby of motorcycling, their choices were limited to bikes like the Suzuki Marauder, Ninja 250 or HD Sportster (the thought alone makes my back hurt.) BMW Motorrad now has good news for riders who either need or simply prefer a lower seat height, but do not want to compromise on model choice. BMW is the first motorcycle manufacturer to launch a range of models that can be ordered from the factory with lowered suspension – to provide customers with low seat height options.
Americade Begins Tomorrow, Saturday June 1st
