BMW K-Series description

This is a flawless 2012 BMW K1600GT with every option available. This includes: ABS, GPS (secure in dash and displays speed limits on every road), Adaptive Zenon headlight (shines the light around corners and up\down hills, brilliant), ESA (Electronic Suspension Control with Normal, Sport and Comfort), Dynamic\Road\Rain engine settings, Heated front and rear seats, Heated grips, Electronically adjustable windshield, Cruise control, AM\FM\SAT Radio with iPod\iPhone\mp3 connector and compartment, Massive display of information controlled by the left handgrip's multi-dial, Alarm with key-fob that locks all bags and compartments, Quick detach sidebags (with removable liners (not pictured)), I'm sure there are something's I've forgotten. The extra goodies are: Multi-setting driving lights mounted on the forks , the Touratech Tank bag and of course the titanium Akrapovic exhaust system. Chances are you are familiar with this bike if you're looking at this, but if you're not, please check some articles on it. Journalists have been gushing about the bike since it was introduced. One ride shows you why as it's incredibly light and responsive for a bike this size, amazing really. With 158hp and 129ftlb of torque it's also legitimately fast! As in, sportbike fast. Yet the engine is so smooth that it rides extremely well at a relaxed pace too. You can ride an entire road in one gear, 3rd through 6th, and it's almost the same experience. There's never been an engine like this one. Speaking of the engine, it sounded good stock but sounds incredible with the full-titanium exhaust system put on it. It's not loud at all, in fact it's the perfect volume and the baffles could be removed if you choose.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.

2010 BMW S1000RR – First Ride

Fri, 20 Nov 2009

UPDATE:  Full Review now on Motorcycle.com (with video) We just spent the day ripping it up around the fabulous Portimao race circuit in Portugal on BMW’s new S1000RR supersport literbike, and it’s set to blow away perceptions of what a BMW motorcycle is. With 193 crankshaft horsepower and a claimed dry weight of 404 pounds, BMW says the S1000RR has the best power-to-weight ratio of any production bike. And, by the way the S1000 lofts its front wheel onto Portimao’s front straight at 150 mph, we’re becoming believers!
