BMW Other description

Feel Free to MAKE ME AN OFFER. 2010 BMW F 800 GS, 2010 BMW F800GS 30th Anniversary Edition The Anniversary Edition gives you a unique paint scheme and unique red seat with the GS logo embossed on it. Located in Kansas, ready for a fly and ride. It is the best looking F800GS ever made if you ask me. The Trophy Editions were kinda cool, but the Anniversary Edition gets comments from everyone. It has 16,300+ miles on it. It had 1,500 miles when I bought it in July of 2011 from a guy in Virginia Beach, VA. The only off road it has seen has been county roads. (I really meant to do more off roading with it and just never did. The 500, 3000 and 12,000 mile services have all been completed at BMW authorized service centers. After the 12K, which was performed just a month ago, the tech came out to talk to me and told me the bike was in perfect condition and complimented the bike and how I had it set up. Kelly Blue Book lists this bikes retail at $10,300. Add $800 for ABS. So that puts the KBB at $11,100. Additional Options: BMW Vario side cases BMW Handguards BMW Aluminum Bash Plate Trip Computer Denali D2 LED Auxiliary Lights Touratech Tank Bag SW Motech Crash Bars BMW Comfort Seat and Original Seat MOTO Overland Adjustable Luggage Rack And it has a Shorei Lithium Ion Battery that is 8 lbs lighter than stock. This is about $3,700 worth of options. The chain and sprockets are due to be changed and I was going to have them put on when I had the 12K service done but the tech said they were in great condition and he said he wouldn't change them until they needed it. And it will have a fresh oil change/oil filter/air filter. It has a new Continental TKC 80 on the rear with 800 miles on it. A Heidenau K60 Scout front with 5K and looks like new. I know that is a lot of information, but I really like this bike. I have decided that my heart is in long distance touring and I'm going to graduate to something better suited for long distance. The 800 is perfectly capable of long distance. I rode it from Virginia Beach to Kansas and from Kansas to San Diego, so I have basically ridden it from coast to coast, with a trip to Yellowstone thrown in. $11,995.00

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. EICMA 2012: BMW F800GT Announced as Replacement for F800ST

Tue, 13 Nov 2012

As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
