Tank bracket damaged and fixed, I painted a scrape on tank and repaired a broken instrument cluster arm (can get new one if desired on eBay but I saw no need once repaired), the bellypan sustained a small crack too, but overall just cosmetic damage. AWESOME BIKE, no engine or use issues whatsoever, used on street>track, oil changed every 3k religiously (can provide extra filters with bike), I simply reached personal goals with riding, otherwise it's been like another family member, well cared for and garaged always, individualized look, head turner. BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
