BMW R-Series description

I am listing my personal BMW R1200GS Adventure. I have taken supreme care of this bike, I had planned on getting more into the solo ride/camping scene and found myself with not enough vacation time (and away from the wife time) to justify the beefy off road prowess of the R1200 GSA. My wife also wishes to ride more touring so we are looking at some new bikes that fit the bill for the both of us to have our own bikes.

There truly is nothing I can even begin to imagine is wrong with the bike. Just a couple weeks and less than 200 miles ago I had the first major service done, and an oil change and I believe the heidenau K60's have no more than 1,500 miles (pretty sure) and people have reported 8k+ (again third party) So this bike is ready for the road/trail straight away. I have always had the bike serviced (even the tires) at BMW motorcycles of Riverside. The bike does have warranty until august, I know its not long but you can buy with confidence that if anything goes wrong right away you can take it in and have it taken care of.

I have not done a lot to the bike that I had planned, however it did some simple things that made ride that much more enjoyable. I installed a Booster Plug http://www.boosterplug.com/shop/boosterplug-bmw-r1200gs-181p.html
and the two brothers black series slip on exhaust (I still have the Factory exhaust if you desire). It comes with the factory panniers, BMW Nav IV, ABS, ASV, On board computer, fog lights. If there is something you think should be on here that I did not mention and you would like to know feel free to ask.

We have a close relationship with BMW motorcycles of Riverside so we can assist with financing including through BMW financial Services.

Please contact upon winning ASAP so we can sort out the logistics or payment and delivery as well.

We will gladly deliver (I will ride it to you) within 250 miles. I am happy to make myself available for the shipper of your choice. However I will not be crating the bike or making other arrangements for shipping.
As we are a dealer we will need to collect sales tax for buyers who take delivery within the state of California, for out of state purchasers to not pay CA sales tax must take delivery outside the boarder of the state, or have the bike shipped via common carrier, and provide bill of lading.

This bike is being sold as is, and no warranty other than the existing factory warranty is expressed or implied.

BMW Standardizes Switches

Thu, 23 Oct 2008

Whenever you throw your leg over a bike that isn’t your own, there is always a few minutes needed to become familiar with the proportions and controls of the foreign machine. Getting a sense of the clutch release point, brake feel, throttle response and riding position may all differ from what you have been accustomed, but they slowly become second nature after enough seat time is logged. One such control that strays from this rule of thumb is the turn signal operation of many BMWs.

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
