Chopper Chopper description
******AMAZING SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION CHOPPER****************** I am the second owner of this custom show bike. I bought it off of Bill Steele in 2005 who built the bike. He is a custom builder and this bike was featured in V-Twin Motorcycles Magazine in February 2004 and 7 other magazines. I have a copy of the magazine where the bike was featured on the cover of V-Twin and in that magazine there is a 3 page write up about the bike. The copy of this magazine will go to the new owner. Here is a snippet from the magazine: "On this particular bike, there's Goldammer's name all over it. Bill made the front end, the swingarm, and the frame, as well as the air lift system that's on it that makes the front and rear ends of the bike go up and down. The trick about the front end is that the upper tubes are actually air tanks. The single-sided swingarm frame has a compressor on board while the frame, from the neck on down and across the bottom are air storage tanks and the air from the frame is pushed through an air hose from the neck into the fork tubes. Depending on how much air is left in there when I start the bike, it takes about 40 seconds to raise the bike to a riding position," Bill says. "Other unique features of this bike are the wheels with the incorporated pulley rotor on the rear unit. Bill designed them himself and had RC Comp make them, while fenders and oil tank were fabbed by Bill himself or, like the Yaffe gas tank, modified to fit his design. Bill only took the TC88 motor apart to have it chromed and polished. He outfitted it with a carb from Carl's Speed Shop, for which he had to make a special intake because its got a map sensor in there for the computer to work. Bill also manipulated the computer and the harness to make it run properly. Bill also painted the bike with Wizard from Ohio laying on the turned gold-leaf graphics and Bill then reclearing, buffing, and finishing. This bike won the Best of Show category in the Judged class at the Easy Riders Bike Show in Charlotte. Bill Steele is a world renowned bike builder and won the first ever motorcycle Ridler Award, which goes to show how well built his bikes are. To this day, Bill still says this was the favorite bike he ever built. If you you have any questions at all, please email me. If you are seriously interested in this bike you can speak to me directly. Leave a message on my answering machine at 239-549-3685 and I will promptly call you back. This bike is in excellent condition, there is only one small imperfection on the bike and it is a blister on the tank and it has been there since I bought the bike. Tue, 13 Mar 2012Mega stars of the custom chopper world Arlen Ness, Dave Perewitz and Rick Fairless have each built a one-off custom motorcycle for Allstate Insurance Co. Each bike embodies themes representing Allstate’s involvement in the motorcycle community, like the company’s motorcycle awareness program called Once is Never Enough (ONE), which Fairless incorporated into his design. A fourth motorcycle, a Victory Cross Country customized by Ness, is the grand prize in Allstate’s national sweepstakes (www.allstate.com/motosweepstakes).
American Chopper is Canceled
Mon, 08 Feb 2010After six seasons, the run is finally over for America’s favorite dysfunctional custom chopper family. The not so surprising news was announced on Saturday, February 6th by TLC. The Teutuls will always be a part of the Discovery family and we congratulate them on a tremendously successful series run. The show was already on its last legs due to all the family drama which includes a lawsuit between Paul Teutul, Sr.

Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.
