Here is a '49 Panhead. Clear H-D title. Restored 3 years ago. Some aftermarket parts used. Runs,starts,rides and presents itself as new! 12 volt system upgrade. Showroom condition! Just like stepping back in time. Maroon enamel paint. Coker tires. OEM rebuilt speedo. Period correct saddle bags and wind screen. '49 had some 1 year only parts and this has all of that. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. The retired Shreffler once had plans to open a Harley-Davidson museum but has now decided to auction off his collection gathered from 48 years in the industry.

Not one for gaudy excess (or a motorcycle ride for that matter), Pope Francis has decided to put both up for auction. Specifically, the Pope has donated the bikes to the Caritas charity near Rome.
