up for sale is an original 20,000 mile 1979 cbx 1000 inline 6. has paperwork, been sitting for couple years, will need slight tank cleaning on the inside, and the rear master cylinder, needs an exhaust system, and a shift lever to complete. up close the paint has a couple small paint chips and one or 2 small scratches but no dents, the bike overall is an 8 or 9 out of 10. the paint shines excellent, some slight pitting on engine chrome but it looks great otherwise. Super clean 1979 cbx 1000 it is an eye grabber. was going to get a nice DG pipe and keep it but too many projects needing funds is the reason for sale. Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
2014 Honda CRF250R Announced
Tue, 14 May 2013Honda has completely overhauled its CRF250R motocross bike for 2014, offering an all-new engine and an aluminum beam frame inherited from the CRF450R. With a claimed weight of 231 pounds, the 2014 model is actually 4 pounds heavier than the 2013 model, but the new updates are designed to improve mass centralization, with Honda claiming it to be more flickable and nimble than before. According to Honda, the new frame weighs 20.6 pounds, while the main frame spars meet the steering head lower than on the previous frame, helping lower the center of gravity.
