Honda CT description

This is a nice and all original Candy Gold CT70 K0 with clear AZ title.

Frame: CT70-190563
Engine: CT70HE-190204
Engine and frame are 359 numbers apart indicating the original engine

This bike is very complete and and has all the things I look for in a CT70.   The paint is excellent except for a small area behind the rear brake and on the swing-arm where some battery acid damaged it.  Otherwise, this paint is as good as I’ve seen on an original gold bike.   The chrome is in excellent condition.  This bike is from central California and does not have any corrosion, discoloration, or pitting on the chrome.  All the hardware is original and in place.  The wheels are original paint and look good.  The original tool kit is under the seat.  The handlebars are are straight

Everything works and it runs super strong.  It rides great too...straight and smooth and it shifts correctly.  The only issue is that it smokes at start up.  This clears up after about 30 seconds or once the engine is warm.  It has as much power as any K0 CT70 I’ve ridden and the engine sounds perfect.  I’m almost certain it’s the piston rings causing the smoke at start-up.  Also, the exhaust has a pinhole in the usual spot where the chrome guard mounts to the pipe up front.  Based on those two issues I am keeping the reserve price very reasonable for a K0 this complete and cosmetically excellent.

I have arranged shipping for a couple CT70’s in the past.  I recommend U-Ship and can share my prior experience here if needed.  Please reply with any questions and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your interest!

Honda Re-Signs Marc Marquez Through 2016 MotoGP Season

Wed, 14 May 2014

Marc Marquez has signed a contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation that will see the reigning MotoGP champion stay with the manufacturer through the end of the 2016 season. “We are very satisfied to have reached an agreement to keep Marc in the team for a further two seasons,” says Shuhei Nakamoto, executive vice president of HRC. “Of course, as Honda, we wanted to keep Marc in our family, and he also wanted to stay with us so … it was natural to renew the contract even if it is very early in the season!

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CTX1300 First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

From the moment we published the 2014 Honda CTX1300 Revealed story, virtually all the comments about the bike have been negative. From its looks to its engine and everything in between, it seems that many of you aren’t a fan of Honda‘s latest entry into the cruiser(ish) market. Of course, all this judgement is based on pictures.

Barber Recognized by Guinness as World’s Largest Motorcycle Museum

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Guinness World Records has officially recognized the Barber Motorsports Museum as the world’s largest motorcycle museum in the world. The 144,000-square-foot, five-story museum is home to nearly 1400 motorcycles, of which about 700 are on exhibit. We’ve featured the Barber Museum before, and are completely blown away each time we step foot within its doors. It’s simply awe-inspiring.
