Best Helmet Designs from the 2009 MotoGP Season

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.

Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel.  There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Honda Sold 16.8 Million Motorcycles in 2013

Honda announced sales of 16.8 million motorcycles in 2013, an improvement of 8.7% from the 15.5 million motorcycles sold in 2012. The announcement was made two days before Honda’s third quarter report for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2013, so we will have to wait to hear the financial impact, but based on these numbers, the quarterly report should be positive.
