    THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This auction is for a REALLY sweet 1970 Honda Z50A Mini Trail, VIN 307174.  This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly restored with lots of TLC.  To start with, the engine has been totally rebuilt (bored first over, new piston and rings, valve job, automatic clutch totally gone through and adjusted, new points, engine cases and head beadblasted, all new seals and gaskets, etc) by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 40 years of experience.  You will actually have to BREAK THIS ENGINE IN (I’ve put about 10 minutes on the bike since rebuild)!  The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: steering bearings, seat (a stencil is included if you want to add the HONDA logo), wheel bearings, fork gaiters and bushings, wiring harness, front brake cable, front tire, rear brakes, headlight bulb, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain, kickstand, dimmer switch, and of course, fresh oil.  The following HARD TO FIND original parts are still on this bike: air cleaner, complete headlight and taillight assemblies, gas tank badges, chainguard, exhaust heat shield, battery box and rectifier, and factory muffler assembly.  Mechanically, brakes work very well, automatic clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through three gears, all lights work. Carb was completely rebuilt, bike starts on first or second kick and idles nicely.  Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA.

    1972 Honda XL250 with a original Hooker Header.This bike DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE had to put something down for ebay to list.Bike comes with original owners manual and instruction sheet for the Hooker Header also comes with key to unlock seat.The Header had a couple of rust spots size of a quarter,i ground out the rust and filled with JB WELD then ground that down smooth.Bike does not have any lights or original air breather.It does not smoke or leak any oil and runs great.I put 1974 Honda CR125 side number plates on to look like a motocrosser.This bike is not perfect the starting price reflects that,i used it to ride around in the pits with.I'm not a professional builder but I did tear the bike down and painted the frame,fenders and tank.The tank looks ok but it is far from a perfect job.I put new steering head bearings in and new points and chain,handle bar repo grips.This bike sounds great with the Header.This bike always gets the attention while riding around in the pits and it has never gave me any problems.Call or text with any questions.270-792-9710  FRAME # XL250-1006051 ana MOTOR # SL250SE-1025713.Also noticed while taking pics that rear wheel bearings are getting a very little bit of wear.Kick start lever swings out while riding so I just hold it in with a rubber strap.

    This bike has been in the family since 1975. It was removed from storage after 30 + years.  I just finished a frame up rebuild this summer.  The bike has less than 100 miles since finished.  The bike was striped down to the frame.  All painting and refinishing was professionally done with automotive base coat clear coat.  The wheels were blacked out and re-spoked.  The engine was taken down, cylinder polished (no boring needed, has original piston size) re-ringed cam chain guides replaced, and new gaskets installed professionally by local motorcycle shop.  The gas tank was prepped and lined with tank liner.  New parts include but not limited to: carburetor,  fuel petcock, all cables, tires, tubes, rim liners, shocks, seat, handle bars, lights, cam chain guides, gaskets and piston rings. The bike looks awesome and rides like new.  Don't miss your chance to be a part of the café racer seen with this cool ride.  Feel free to text me with any questions at 931-337-4355

It’s all original except for an aftermarket tank (the original comes with bike and could easily be restored and hold fuel) the tail light is not original and I replaced the cables, points, condenser etc.  I have a new chain and sprockets to be put on and a new aft exhaust tube (see photo) the original is ok and on the bike.  The numbers I found on the engine are 273 and Z50AE, 95827.  No title.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much. But then you remember that 2.0% still represents an additional 83,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), such is the scale involved in a company like Honda.
