Indian Chief Roadmaster description

This is a rare, classic red 2009 Indian Chief Roadmaster Motorcycle, hand built at the Kings Mountain, NC factory. It has the 105 cubic inch Indian PowerPlus engine with accessory high-performance exhaust, over 100 lb/ft of torque. Features gorgeous, natural distressed-leather seat, backrest and saddlebags, with fringe; billet wheels and black-wall tires. The bike sits comfortably in the saddle and runs perfectly, and it never fails to draw appreciative comments from admirers. There are two small defects - a 1/8 inch paint defect on the tank and a 1-1/2 inch scratch on the windshield (see photos). Feel free to contact me with any questions: Greg at 734-546-5583. Untold thousands of motorcyclists from around the world have converged in South Dakota for the 72nd Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Of course, Motorcycle.com made the trip to cover the most storied motorcycle rally in the world. We rode up from Southern California on a Victory Hard-Ball we outfitted with a host of accessories from the Victory catalog, including a wind-blocking batwing fairing.

Polaris Acquires French Quadricycle-maker Aixam Mega

Polaris has added another brand to its growing list of acquisitions, buying out Aixam Mega S.A.S., a French manufacturer of light-duty commercial vehicles and quadricycles – small four-wheeled enclosed vehicles that can be driven, in some markets, without an automobile driver’s license. Aixam Mega joins Polaris’ portfolio which already includes Victory Motorcycles, Indian Motorcycles, electric vehicle makers Global Electric Motorcars and Groupil. Like GEM and Groupil, Axiam Mega produces small vehicles, though its products include both electric and diesel-powered vehicles.

Polaris Industries a record fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2013, with sales revenue of $1.08 billion and a net income of $108.7 million. While off-road vehicles represent the bulk of Polaris’ business, its motorcycle operations saw a 94% increase in fourth quarter sales, thanks to strong demand for Victory Motorcycles and the addition of new Indian Motorcycles models.
