Kawasaki Other description

In this listing I have a 2009 Kawasaki Concours 14, the color is candy diamond red. The bike is in great shape, but it has some road scars on it, this bike was ridden, not sitting in a driveway! The bike has 12,583 miles, it has never been dropped or in an accident! You dont see too many of these in the red. Let me start by telling you this bike is fast!! I have alot of extras on this bike, it has a corbin seat w/ drivers heat, corbin backrest, J&M C.B w/mp3 connection, driver&passenger intercom,I will be throwing in two nolan helmets w/headsets and mics.I also have a givi v46 trunk, I have the red cover on it, but I also have flat black, the box will hold two large full face helmets.I installed a set of pazzo levers, v stream windshield 20 inch height, it has a rear wheel hugger, to keep dirt off of the inner fender, a vance&hines cs1 slip on, to give it a little throaty sound, I purchased a set of saddlebag luggage, so all you have to do is open the box, grab the luggage and your off, no hassles!!! I installed xk glow underbike lighting with remote, hi lites brake lights, one of the biggest problems with bikes is being seen, this helps dramatically! I installed sequential turn signals underneath the mirrors, but they are also running lights. There is a K&N air filter, I still have the original. I have only used semi synthetic oil since day one, changed every 1800 miles! I am the original owner, it has been adult ridden, only me!! The bike comes with two key fobs. I had new tires installed at the end of last season, michelin pilots, along with the brakes. they have 80% left on them! A new gel battery was installed at the beginning of last spring, you also get a battery tender. This bike is a six speed, it can cruise all day, and night. I dropped the passenger footpegs an inch and a half to make passengers more comfy. The handlebars have risers on them, raising an inch and a half and 3/4 quarters of an inch back. This is the NON ABS model, I never liked abs, I always thought it interferes with driver input, but thats just me! I paid 13,000 for it when it was new, and I wont even bore you, with all the money I invested in add ons. This is a great bike, you wont be disappointed. This is going to be a buy it now or best offer. ANY reasonable offer will not be refused, but it has to be reasonable!! Thanks for looking!! This will be a pick up only, but I will ride it to you, as long as you are within fifty miles!! After that, its on you! If you would like to see the bike, no test rides, its not a problem, just contact me through this listing and I will get it done!! Again THANKS!!

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
