This bike was found in a Mi. warehouse where it sat unused since 1980. To find a Z1 this original and untouched is rare. This is the only green 1974 I've ever seen. It was missing the seat, horn, coils and left side exhaust when I found it. I bought a reproduction seat and coils for it and found a 1976 KZ 900 exhaust. that is in good condition, some small rust spots and a few dings. It still needs the horn. The right side exhaust is original and in perfect condition. I filled the carbs with gas and the bike started right up. It sounds very tight, no cam chain noise and no smoking. It should be given a carb cleaning and a complete tune up. All the chrome is very nice, but not perfect. The paint has no fading, 4 small chips in the gas tank. Some chips on the tailfin under the chrome grab bar. Left side cover has a scratch. Bike has all the original cables, even the original wire ties on the handle bars. The clutch and brake levers still have the clear plastic coating. The paint on the frame is very shiney, it looks great. The speedometer has some small dings on the left side. The master cylinder has no fluid but is very clean inside. This is an amazing condition survivor bike. With a professional detailing, this bike should be more valuable than a restored Z1. Kawasaki Reports Q1 2011-2012 Results
Tue, 02 Aug 2011Kawasaki reported a 8.7% decrease in motorcycle sales over its first quarter ended June 30, 2011. The motorcycle and engine division (which includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and general purpose engines) generated sales of 59.8 billion yen (US$775.4 million) , a decrease from the 65.5 billion yen (US$848.9 million) reported from the same period last year. Overall, Kawasaki Heavy Industries reported a profit of 9.56 billion yen (US$123.8 million) over the quarter, compared to a profit of 5.88 billion yen (US$76.2 million) reported last year.

Kawasaki World Debut At AIMExpo
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Kawasaki has chosen the 2014 American International Motorcycle Expo as the venue to make the world debut of a yet unannounced motorcycle model. The model launch will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this October 16-19. “AIMExpo demonstrated last year that it can serve as the ideal platform for media and brand activities and Kawasaki will leverage this grand stage to reveal new products, as well as interact closely with dealers and consumers,” explains Kevin Allen, Kawasaki Manager, PR + Brand Experience. “We have some very exciting new product to share and AIMExpo is the perfect place to make these announcements.” Attendees will also witness the North American introduction of all-new vehicles in several categories from Kawasaki. Following the unveilings, all products will then be on full display for all to see inside Kawasaki’s booth (#2165) out on the AIMExpo show floor. “Kawasaki joins an expanding list of key companies that sees AIMExpo as the perfect means to infuse energy into the powersports business in North America,” says Larry Little, Vice President and General Manager, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group.
